Ophelia Tham is a Registered Architect in both New South Wales and Victoria, with over 14 years of experience in the residential sector. As one of the youngest Architects in Australia to gain registration (at 24yo), she has worked alongside some of the most dedicated and award winning architectural professionals in NSW and VIC.
She began her career working on heritage residential homes across Sydney’s Inner West, Eastern Suburbs, and Lower North Shore. Her path later evolved into leading developer-driven projects across Sydney and Melbourne—delivering multi-residential and award-winning mixed-use buildings (finalist in World Architecture Festival). She has led cross-disciplinary teams of architects, interior designers, and engineers through complex and large-scale developments.

Today, Ophelia runs her own boutique, home-based architectural studio while navigating the everyday juggle of raising three young children (ages 6, 4, and 20 months) without nearby family support. Her lived experience brings a deeply personal understanding of what makes a home truly functional—not just beautiful. Renovating her own heritage home to meet the needs of a busy, growing family (with her excel-savvy husband keeping budgets in check) continues to be one of her most rewarding and challenging projects.

She is passionate about creating spaces that strike the perfect balance between form, function, and affordability—no matter the project scale or typology. Highly detail-oriented and precise, Ophelia brings clarity and intent to every aspect of her work. Her meticulous design process solves problems and simplifies challenges. From site constraints to budget limitations, she has a proven ability to untangle complexity and deliver practical, elegant solutions that just work.
Beyond architecture, Ophelia also runs an online hobby business with her young daughter, Living Etch, specialising in custom personalised décor, gifts, and keepsakes to add that unique touch to home design. Her unwavering commitment and passion makes her an invaluable asset to every project she takes on.
